Love their Bun Bo Hue.. Hue spicy beef noodle soup but with no pork. It’s a bit different from the usual Pho I bar but it’s tasty. Perfect for cold windy Welly. I tried the chicken curry and the calamari as well. The curry is sweet for me but delicious and rich. The calamari is good. Service is great and the food comes fast. The staff is helpful as well. I asked for hotter and spicier soup and they changed my soup to my liking. The ambience is lovely as well and I love the mural & the colorful lampoons. Dinner is packed but we find the table without waiting. The entrance is not too friendly for people with wheelchairs as it has steps. But on the entrance there are seats with high tables.

This was our first visit as this is one of the few restaurants open in Wellington post-Christmas. Our party of four had the starter tasting platter, and then shared the Hue beef noodle soup, chicken salad and pork belly, finishing off with the coconut creme caramel. Every dish had authentic fresh, vibrant flavours and was delicious! The noodle soup had a good level of spicy hotness so the 12 year old enjoyed it but probably not if any hotter. The chicken salad was generous, in comparison to the 4 smallish pieces of pork belly. The creme caramel had a lovely balance of sweet/salty flavours and was the perfect way to finish our meal. Rock Yard also had a very decent drinks list and the service was friendly and lovely so overall, a very enjoyable experience and would definitely recommend!

Really enjoy going to this restaurant. I love the interior decor with colourful Vietnamese lanterns handing from the ceiling, the food is great and the staff are always very friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere is vibrant. We had the Crispy Pillow Dumplings filled with buttercup squash and the Soft Shell Crab Bao Buns as starters. Both were really yum. The dumplings were light, crispy and fluffy like pillows. For mains we had the Chilli Lemongrass Chicken and Soy Glazed Tofu with Vermicelli Noodles. We weren't sure at first if the chicken was actually chicken because it tasted more like duck, but we were assured that it is. My partner enjoyed it. I was a little disappointed with the salad as it didn't have much flavour and all the ingredients were separated in the bowl, but even when all mixed together it didn't have much flavour. So I requested some fish sauce mixed with chilli plus some fresh coriander and that made it so much more flavoursome. I would highly recommend they serve the dish with this sauce and coriander to add more flavour. The staff were very polite and checked on us regularly. It was no problem for them to cater for my request. Great service.

Food was really good there! We got everything within 5-10 mins since we made our order. Especially I liked the cheesecake with raspberry sauce. But service there is not that good. We always had to ask staff ourselves to come over and clean our dishes or ask to bring us a dessert after waiting for 10 minutes to get their attention. I think you should pay more attention at your guests guys.
